LOVE

DIVERSITY   OF   LOVE

The word ‘Love’ has diverse meaning. We use it in many ways to express a pleasant relationship. Examples are plenty………….

Such and such loves animals……….loves paintings……..loves football………..loves nature……etc.etc. Even in games like Tennis. Table Tennis, Football and Hockey, we start the game as love all i.e. 0-0.

The nature of love is different when we say mother loves her child. Two friends love each other or the brothers and sisters are in deep love.

Conventionally, love is described as an intense affection between a male and female linked with sexual attraction. Such love has been much eulogized by poets, novelists and dramatists. There are umpteen examples of love stories such as Romeo-Juliet, Heer-Ranjha, Siri-Farhad, Sohini-Mahiwal, Chua-Chandan and host of others.

I‘m not a believer of such stories of love at first sight. The authors may also be slightly confused and skeptical. All these great stories end in tragedies……love ending in fatality. They are good tear jerker for readers and audiences. The union of the lovers might have posed a problem for the authors to develop the stories in unfolding the continued progression of love.

I’ve given a flow chart of love (I call it ‘Love Ladder’.) how it evolves, develops and grows into an everlasting love.
